"Boatsheds Reclaimed (and reworked)," 2003–2007

A few years ago I was sitting on my mother-in-law's porch watching a storm approach. I was attracted not only by the dark sky, but by the thought of these grown-over boatsheds hunkering down and preparing for the coming rain. I drew a rough sketch and made some notes, then painted it in my studio. I never felt it was successful, so recently I took it out of the frame and improved it.
