"Fresh Cut, Tree Farm," 2008
In early January a cold front moved through with a well-defined...uh, front. I raced around to find a good setting in which to place these clouds, and I found one not far from home. This is a tree farm where a great swath of pines had been recently harvested. The cold air and the approaching clouds seemed like a salve for the cut earth there.
